The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (the “Agencies”) adopted as final the interim rule published on April 17, 2020 regarding real estate appraisals. The final rule adopts the deferral period for appraisals for up to 120 days following the closing of certain residential and commercial real estate transactions. This final rule is effective through December 31, 2020.
