Early this week FinCEN released that the comment period to the notice of proposed rulemaking requiring the reporting of beneficial ownership information has closed. This was the first in a series of rulemakings that FinCEN will issue to implement the Corporate Transparency Act. Next steps include publishing the proposed rules and disclosure requirements which FinCEN anticipates publishing later this year.
