Effective July 1, 2019, lenders submitting recordable instruments to the Superior Court Clerk of DeKalb County, Georgia are required to include the tax identification number of the affected real property on the top of the first page of recordable instruments. In the near term, Compliance Systems will release updated functionality automatically printing the tax identification number in the correct location when applicable. However, until that functionality is delivered to Compliance Systems’ partners and clients, all lenders submitting instruments for recording to the DeKalb County Superior Court Clerk should legibly print, type, or stamp the applicable tax identification number on the top of the first page of all instruments affecting real property located in DeKalb County.
