South Carolina adopts the South Carolina Uniform Transfers to Minors Act. The adoption of this law repeals South Carolina’s existing Uniform Gifts to Minors Act. While sections of the new law remain the same, including the statutory age of 21 years and single custodianship, the new law clarifies and adds additional language. The new law can be found here.
This law was signed by the Governor on April 4, 2022 and is effective on April 4, 2022.
